“ A delightful discovery this evening: the bar-brasserie Le Dakota. We had noticed this establishment in Vivonne; the name intrigued us—Dakota, the airplane? Or the US state? This evening we stepped inside, and the welcome was warm and genuine. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the industrial decor, with its strong aeronautical touches, reminiscent of an airplane hangar, and the superb air show posters. The pin-up girls transport us to the early 20th century and offer a journey both through time and through the skies. The food is delicious. For starters, we chose: the blue egg cocotte with walnuts and toast soldiers, and the butternut squash gratin with Morbier cheese and bacon. For our main course, the pork chop was perfect, flavorful, and served with a side of vegetables. To accompany our meal, we chose a Saint-Chinian, which paired perfectly with our dishes. We're not big dessert people, so we opted for a cheese plate and a "gourmet" selection that normally includes five small desserts. I politely asked the owner if three would be enough, and he was very happy to oblige. I received my "gourmet coffee" with all three small desserts. The service was perfect; our waitress was attentive, courteous, and smiling. The background music was very pleasant, just the right amount. A great place for the price, worth discovering, and one I highly recommend without hesitation. Thank you for a lovely evening. ”
